Friday Jason had to work. But Rieley, Hannah, Laura and I decided we would have a laid back day. We took the girls swimming before lunch at the Firstenburg Community Center. The remainder of the day was lunch and naps for all 4 of us. Did I mention Laura's 6 months pregnant? She also is not necessarily restricted, but is somewhat limited on how active she can be. So we wanted to keep it chill. Friday night my family came by to visit- they hadn't seen Jason since he got home, and they wanted to see Laura and Rieley.
Saturday I don't really remember doing much- we pretty much chilled around the house and just talked and relaxed and enjoyed some family time at home letting the girls play. Hannah hadn't quite lost her patience yet. . . but it was coming!
Sunday we promised Laura we would take her to Voo Doo Doughnuts in Portland and found the one that is not quite in downtown Portland but close. . . but this was after a potty break in a starbucks, and I getting lost and in the wrong part of town!
Everything is better with pink sprinkles and pink frosting!-Notice Rieley is attempting to eat a cake doughnut. . . I think more landed on the ground though.
Our pickings. . . just lovely!

Rieley and Hannah playing one morning. Hannah did eventually tire of having to share everything and having another child in the house. Of course I didn't like this. Laura didn't mind- remember Rieley is #3. . . her #1 is 8 and #2 is 6. . . . Rieley is used to being the kid that gets left out, pushed, tackled etc- Hannah though did lose her cool and did some mighty time outs for her actions.Just to compare here's an older pic of the girls.
.
This was the only one of Hannah and Rieley I could find from my trip there!

Monday morning we ventured out to Multnomah Falls for the beauty. Laura's been up to visit I think 3 times now- first time was wedding dress shopping in an ice storm! 2nd was for my bridal shower, 3rd was for our wedding (so all those were in the same year!). None of those time was there any children tagging along. So this visit made #4- we hadn't done much sight seeing in those previous visits, and though she couldn't do a lot of walking, we thought this would be a fun adventure. Hannah and I walked to the bridge, Laura and Rieley remained down below. See the Big tree along the path on the right hand side? There is a bench there and that's where Laura is!
It was a great visit and I miss them. Hannah now asks about Rieley on occasion, usually at bedtime when we say our prayers and we say God Bless Mommy, Daddy and Hannah, she throws in Laura and Rieley too. . . since when they were here we prayed for them too.
It was sad to take Laura and Rieley back to the airport on Monday evening. Sad to see them go. Strange to me how Laura and I have known each other for nearing 10 years now. I first met her when she just had #1 and was pregnant with #2. And I hadn't even met Jason! We used to talk all the time on the phone, and it's become further apart, and more emails/texts/facebookings. . . but get us in a room together and it's like we haven't missed a beat. Was great to have her here and ramble and talk and talk and talk! She and Jason oh my are a pair too!
Was a great weekend! I forsee an adventure for me to head that direction after baby boy #4 arrives. I can't wait to meet the newest addition to her family.
Thank you Laura for visiting and sharing your love with our family!
