Very true. . .

While reading from my daily meditation "A woman's Spirit" by Karen Casey (a woman I met at my retreat in October), there was a passage that seemed very fitting to me on the 14th.
The following is directly from the book.
We are not unlike a particularly hardy crustacean. . . With each passage from one stage of human growth to the next, we, too must shed a protective structure. Gail Sheehy.
"Our passage into a new stage of development was initiated by our desire to stop using chemicals. The values we lived by while using chemicals no longer fit us. We need to shed our old skin and grow a new one that reflects our current world-view.
We are now, and always will be, in the stage of becoming, of trying to fulfill our changing dreams and aspirations. What we can accomplish at one stage of life is differnt than what we can handle at another. And yet an overall design is being shaped by all our endeavors. The more willing we are to shed yet another skin, the more centered, stable, and spirit-filled we'll become. "

This seems fitting to me due t the changes I'm making in my professional life. This new job is a growth process, but in a fabulous way. I love this new experience, the new knowledge and expertise I am gaining. My dreams for my career are slightly changing and yet still have some common threads. I feel like I am growing and shedding old layers with this experience. Strangly it's somewhat spiritual for me. I have choices to make regarding the direction of my life, but overall what I know is that I will continue to move forward, educating myself, gaining knowledge and using my skills to benefit those around me.

On a side note, today I am not nearly as sore as I was the last 2 days, and I did exercise last night, so that is a good sign to me!
