I do not understand the obsession with tires and lifting trucks. I just don't get it. I don't think I ever will. To me it seems a waste in money when there are so many other things that the money could be used for. However, I also don't get why tires have to be so expensive when it comes to replacing them.
Arg, sometimes being an adult is frustrating. I don't want to spend the money on tires, but we need tires, but I don't want to. There is a huge inner deliema for me. Ultimately we will get the tires, because we have to have them for the safety of our family on the road (which we are a lot these days).
Argh, tires. . . argh.

And there are things that women spend money on that men don't understand either -- candles, perfume, scrapbook materials, etc. Tires are a necessary thing and they are way more expensive than a piece of rubber should be. Smile and be glad you have a safe vehicle.
I had the (mis)fortune of buying not one, but two sets of new tires for my car this year...one "summer" set (for all weather conditions) and one "winter" set especially for driving through the snow and ice that tends to cover the roadways in Vermont this time of year. NOT FUN!
Especially when I'd managed for two winters with regular, all-weather tires.
BUT...I have to admit, that I feel more comfortable driving in said conditions with the snow tires because I can indeed feel the difference in handling.
However, I still feel the pinch of both sets in my wallet. :)
