Tributes

For Christmas Jason and I both had been given some cash, as well Jason got a gift certificate for Canyon Body Art in Beaverton. We have been talking about getting another tattoo for some time, but just hadn't really committed to it. We both have a list of things we'd like to get, I assure you Jason's list is longer and bigger than mine! So yesterday Stefanie was available to watch Hannah early in the day, so we headed out.


Jason's new tattoo:

A tribute to his beloved Uncle Dave. The story is that about 1-2 years before Uncle Dave passed away, Jason went with him while he got this same tattoo on his calf. It's the Browning Symbol (a fire arms company). Can you see the Buck and Doe? Jason got his placed on his left forarm, with the tines pointing towards his elbow.

Jessica's Tattoo:

This on the topside of my right wrist. Since Hannah was born, I have always called her my "Hannah Bug", "Monkey Bug", "Bug" etc. Since she was born I wanted to get a tattoo for her. I wanted something small, this is about 2x the size I originally wanted, but I'm glad I did it. I love it. The shading around the numbers will fade as it heals, the numbers and the lettering are in my writing. It's kinda cool cause it's an original design, I drew what I wanted (including the heart in the wings), and then the artist modified it.
