Sleep? What's that....

It's been 5 1/2 months since we had Hannah... and prior to that I stopped sleeping well about the end of the 2nd trimester... so roughly 8 or so months I have gone with interupted, no, little or shared bed sleep. Of course I wouldn't change any of it for the world as I love my little girl dearly and it's all part of the parenthood process.
Part of me fears if I mention this... I might be setting myself up for a jinx. But we shall see... for the last 4 nights Hannah has slept through the night. A wimper or two when she realizes that her binky has fallen out, we replace it and can quickly fall back to sleep. She had a bit of trouble falling back to sleep in the middle of the night last night and Jason had to swaddle her and shush her for a bit. Monday night about 2am, Hannah woke up and was playing in her crib. Jason was getting frustrated because she wouldn't go to sleep and I remember rolling over and saying, she's playing not crying, go back to sleep. And we all 3 did go back to sleep. Hannah played herself to sleep.
Overall I have to admit being able to sleep 7 hours mostly uninterupted has been a great blessing, especially for me during this highly stressful period of time at my job. I know that when I can get extra sleep I function better through things like this. So I'm thankful that Hannah is ready for an all night sleep fest.
We have been trying to put her in her crib most of the time, and do- but last night she ended up in the pack n play by the side of the bed. Perhaps it's time to put down the pack n play and use only the crib. :)
Well it's time for me to get moving. I have a training all day today across town regarding ASAM (it's the scores we use to place client's in treatment). Should be an interesting day- we shall see. At least I am not staying late tonight and can be home w/ my family for dinner tonight, which is unusual on a Thursday night.
Loves to all.
Jessica
