Nature Hike

Sunday morning was a slow moving morning. Eventually coffee along with eggs and sausage was had while reading the Sunday paper. While we did that, Hannah was lying on the blanket on the floor next to us, just jibber jabbing and while attempting to scoot and crawl around the room.
*
Finally showers were had and we decided that we would go up to a nearby park and enjoy the scenic view and then afterwards we would find our way to a nearby trail system outside of Portland.

We packed up a picnic for us and everything you might need for a day out with baby. We all piled in and out for an adventure we went. We headed for the first park, though have to say we never did find it. But we wandered through a very ritzy area of Portland while trying to find it. We did find the Leif-Erikson trail though. Apparently it's at least 12 miles long on direction, we walked a total of about 2.5 to 3 miles of it. Yes of course Hannah was with us and she was in her stroller. Though this wasn't the best idea, it worked, the stroller's a bit muddy now. Though I won't complain as it's getting well used. Hannah seemes to really enjoy her time that she spends in her stroller.
We each took turns pushing the stroller. It was quite bumpy and I'm surprised that Hannah wasn't screaming about it. Overall it was a perfect day to be out side, to be in the fresh air, and to enjoy a walk with the family.

This is not the best, but shows you mildly what we were working with for the trail.

In the end Hannah was sort of rocked to sleep, the stroller over the rocky path seemed to bounce her into a blissful sleep and she didn't seem to mind that we were in the shade so it was a bit chilly. She was well bundled and seemed to be content in her stroller. We aren't sure exactly when she fell asleep, but it was a welcomed site that's for sure.

This last picture of Hannah sleeping in her stroller reminds me of Stephen when he was little. Those chubby cheeks!!!
