For a couple of days I've been dodging Hannah as she tries to show me a "secret" that she and daddy have been working on. She was so excited to so give me a home made picture that included glitter, glue, stickers and glued on macaronis! How sweet that Jason sat with her to help her create a wonderful handmade Mother's day gift.
My gift from hubby- he cleaned house while I was at church. He had gone out on an early call this morning and went back to sleep. Hannah and I snuck away to church and while we were gone Jason cleaned the house for me! YIPPY!
My three year old is growing like a weed- I look away and I think she grows an inch and matures so much. I'm blessed to be Hannah's mommy. She usually is a very sweet girl, though threes have brought a bit more tantrums. She is so special to us and so loved. I couldn't ask for a better child. Her love of books, playgrounds, snuggles, hugs, kisses, dress up, barbies, cars and in general people. She is such a blessing to us and our family.

But I think what makes this year just a tad bit more special is

We are expecting!
We have known since the beginning of April that we were pregnant. Though the doctor was not sure at first, and to be honest sent us home from our first appointment expecting to miscarry in that following week. But as it turns out I was pregnant all along, just happened to realize it WAY early!
We are due 12/14/2011.
We are thrilled that our family is growing.
We have no doubts that Hannah will be a wonderful big sister.
So for me, this Mother's day is special for the child I have with me currently, and the baby that I expect to join our family later this year.
To my mother and mother in law I simply say Thank you for being a great Mother. Without you my life would not be the same!
I hope that my friends that became mothers in this last year, for the first time or additional time, my friends that are expecting, or those that have been moms for a few years, are enjoying their Mother's days with their families.
