Jason was due to be home on the morning of the 23rd, however as we have been learning, nothing happens as we expect with truck driving. Hannah and I had gone to my parents house on the 23rd and stayed the night. It gave us extra time to visit with my parents and have some down time.
We told Hannah that Santa was coming to Grammy and Papa's house that night. She left a cookie in a bowl under the tree. In return Santa left her a note and a special gift for the morning- Christmas pajamas.
Grandparents came to my parents house on the afternoon of the 24th. There was some gift giving that happened in the early hours and some yummy dinner. Our dinner was cut short as a semi truck arrived to pick up Hannah and I to go looking at some Christmas lights.
We finally settled down after getting back and Jason showered. Hannah got to open more gifts and we got to enjoy some family time. The theme for gifts this year was puzzles, coloring books, and clothes. All very fun and enjoyable gifts. This year presented with duplicates of pajamas and books, but thats alright- can't have too many!
I will admit Hannah must have her Papa Dan's heart as she was spoiled with a F-150 power wheels truck. She's still tlaking about "no rocks". While driving the truck she didn't like how it was on the rocks and so now she tells me she wants to drive her truck, but no rocks. Papa's motivation (I believe) is so she can have the truck to play with when we go camping at the property and a big outside toy for their house.
Though Jason didn't get a ton of time with my family we decided to leave around 8ish and head home. Hannah jabbered on the way, eventually falling asleep for a nap around Kalama. She wanted to play with some toys at home so she was allowed for a bit and then put down to bed after opening her Christmas eve gift- Llama Llama Holiday drama. She was not interested in leaving cookies or milk for Santa that night. It took some time for her to settle down but she did.
I and Jason had one final gift that needed to be wrapped. . . the kitchen she would get in the morning. We set to it and then headed to bed.
