Tales of a Truck Driver

The stories continue to arrive.

This might be hard to see. . . but that's the truck that Jason's been riding and driving on the last 2 weeks.

Yesterday Jason happened to meet up with a long time friend of ours- Laura! Laura lives in Phoenix, and apparently she was willing to drive I think she said 50 miles, to go meet up with him for lunch! We love Laura!

The next 2 photos, I am not sure if I can relay the story correctly- but we will just sum it up this way. Jason was doing everything correctly, waiting to make a right hand turn, but was in the middle of 2 lanes, since it was a tight turn- Laura was in the Right lane, behind him, giving him space. Another car drove up on the curb to go around Laura, and the result is below.

Jason's trailer went over the car- thank goodness he stopped when he did, it could have been a lot worse. The driver is fine- the car, well is not. The car had gotten into Jason's blind side and he didn't see her til it was too late, he stopped as quickly as he could.

Sounds like Jason doesn't know what if any repercussions could come with this on the job accident. Though AZ doesn't assign "fault" during accidents, they assign liability I guess- and assigned it to the car. Laura thankfully was there and witnessed the whole thing, and gave her report to the police that arrived on scene.
