Yesterday I started my new job- still with Luke-Dorf, but at a different house. I love it. The commute in the morning is about 17 minutes long, and after work it's about 25 minutes long. I got home last night before Jason did. I was able to pick Hannah up from sitters, start dinner, go grocery shopping and then finish and eat dinner before I would have been home last week! And still have energy enough to go to the park with Hannah last night, was just amazing.
The other thing I've been doing is trying to get up with Jason at 5am, giving me 2 1/2 hours before I have to drop Hannah off at the sitters. This gives me time to putt around, get a few chores done and enjoy my morning. This morning Hannah was up by 5:20am- causing me to rethink what I would be doing this morning. Instead of cleaning, I decided she and I would go for a walk- which was nice to exercise in the morning. Then I still had time to get her and I breakfast, shower, dressed and ready to drop at the sitters by 7:35. And into work by 8:00am.
How amazing this feeling of a normal life again! Jason's in his third week of Trucking school and he LOVES IT! Yesterday he was riding with I believe the Owner of the company and the owner gave him big KUDOS, for just being a great natural driver. Jason has 7 more days of school including today- then he will take his CDL drive test and if he passes he will get his CDL. He spend a big chunk of his time last night filling out job applications. He has a company he really wants to work for, but he's willing to apply to various places and see what happens. He most like will do long-haul for a couple of years so he can get up enough experience for a more local route/company/job.
Hannah is getting very big, very fast- her words are amazing- she mimics all! This morning she was frustrated and heard her say "come on"- just like her daddy does when he's frustrated in traffic! She is also starting to speak a bit clearer- though other times it's just as hard to decipher the mumbo jumbo. She loves to be on the go- park, swimming, walks, camping. . . the more outdoors the better it seems for her. I took her to story time at the library with Brittany and Brenna last week and thought for a brief moment that we had the only 2 children that couldn't sit still. Then I thought about how we always encourage them (nearly daily) to run around, be active, so sitting still in a group of children just wasn't something that they were accustomed too.
Overall... we are doing well. We are holding out for Jason to be working as really the only stress we are feeling is just being so tight in our budget- but if thats my only worry right now then life is very, very good for us!
