Oregon Aquarium

On a day not too long ago, about 3 weeks now, we decided to take a day trip out to the coast. Our goal destination was the Aquarium in Newport. It turned out to be a gorgeous day and we needed to stop for lunch.

We travel with Hannah's portable high chair in the trunk of the vehicle just in case we need it for something like below. . .

We sat her on the picnic table so she could see and we ate our lunch. Of course she was more interested in watching what was around her than eating at that time, but that's okay.

We wanted to let her have time to explore the sand. We had stopped at the Goodwill on the way there because we didn't have play shoes- so we grabbed some cheap shoes that she could get as dirty as she wanted. She got good use out of them that day. She ran and ran and ran around the beach.
Beach walking with Daddy.

Exploring the foam.

I'm not sure. . . I think Hannah's running towards the wave, and Jason's trying to get her to run from the wave. Either way in the end no one was soaked! :)

Precious girl on the beach.

If in doubt, piggy rides!

Then came the aquarium. Here Jason and Hannah are exploring the hands on area.

The white ball in the middle is actually an octopus in a jar/vase like thing. The gal at the aquarium said he's not done this in about a month, so it's was a cool thing that he was.

Hard to see but we are exploring the spider crabs that were HUGE.

More hands on.

At first she was really kinda not sure about the aquarium, hence staying so close to daddy and dolly in her hands.

In the tunnel, sea star!

TUNNEL, with the fish below too!

Needing a piggy ride.

Tunnel picture.

Not sure what we were admiring, but there were fish all around.

US, our family of 3 at the aquarium.

This was such a fun day! Worth every minute of the drive!
