Performance Evaluation

It is on Thursday that I will have been at De Paul http://www.depaultreatmentcenters.org/ for two years. I have worked 1 year and 11 months of that in my current department, I did do a month of on call work for the Men's residential program. But I'm out at Hillsboro and love it!

Yesterday I had my performance evaluation w/ my supervisor. He has been my supervisor since last Sept when our previous one left for an executive director position at another agency in SE Portland.

Overall my review was RAVING! Here's a highlight of it, written by my sup.

"Jessica has exhibited outstanding performance in all areas of her position. She is a go-to person for other staff members, maintains a very high degree of profesionalism, sets up a meaningful rapport with her clients, recommends changes in policy and procedure when appropriate, takes on a leadership role in my absence, and completely upholds the mission of De Paul Treatment Centers." The remainder of the 2 page eval continues with the same sort of praise and appreciation.

How awesome is that. I don't generally like to be in the lime light, or get complimented, but this was nice to hear, as it's been a year full of chaos and turmoil for me in the work place with 4 of my coworkers leaving. Causing me to go from being the low man on the totem pole, to lead counselor (next to my supervisor). I have become an example to the other staff and continue to carry a higher caseload than most and do more assessments than most.

Though we are in a salary freeze, when the freeze is over (12/1/09) I will get my full available raise of 5%. Not a ton, but it's something and it's nice to know that I'll be eligible for that. I did find out that if I passed my CADC then I get a bonus increase (50 Cents per hour- which is about $1000 a year). So that was good news to hear as well today.
