I don't really have much to write about today. Just feeling like I need to write so as to say, Hello I'm still here.

Baby bug is doing well- she's walking, climbing, trying to talk, has 4 teeth now, is more like me than I ever imagined, including her moodiness! She's sleeping regularly through the night, with a few nights waking in the middle just because. She says Da da and really knows what she's saying...

Jason still is looking for work, the other job ended up being very temporary (boo), but that's alright. He can now claim unemployment and continue to look. He's also trying to get things taken care of so he can go back to school in the fall. He saw an advisor yesterday and was told she couldn't help him yet because not all his paperwork had been recieved, so he's going to make a trip to Vancouver to get his transcripts, since they haven't sent them yet. what a pain this is turning into, as he really wants to get it all taken care of quickly.

Me... I feel like I'm going crazy, 36 clients, 4 groups a week (each 1 1/2 hours), 3-5 assessments weekly (each 2 hours long), 7-8 individual sessions weekly (each 1 hour). I just feel overwhelmed with the amount of client contact and the struggles that clients are having. I thankfully am not behind on any paperwork, which other clinicians are feeling the strain of. But I still am feeling some stress in my job, which happens, it's part of the work we do. I'm looking at taking a day or two off in the summer to extend potential camping trips. We shall see. The other clinicians are taking vacations to go back to their home states so I will have to coordinate.

Our apartment is a hot place. I would expect a top unit to be really warm... heat rises right? Then why is the first floor aparmtment so hot? We can't get our place cool or keep it cool. I am reluctant to use the AC b/c of the bill. But we have had to turn it on a bit because we just can't keep our place cool- this morning... after returning from the gym.... it's 65 outside... it's 73 in our living room? What the hey... even w/ the sliding door open... I am not looking forward to the real summer heat- thank goodness for the pool! It's been a life saver these last couple of weeks... and all of us but Hannah have a nice tan color to us- Hannah gets lathered in sunscreen so she's still white! But we want to keep it that way.

Hey sweetie, do you have fans? box fans are a lifesaver when it's hot and they are fairly inexpensive and you can ask amber about the awesome fan she has by her bed. it's very quiet, has several settings and she says it's incredible. i think they got it at costco. hang in there, with work, and tell jason to just keep pluggin away. times are tough for all, and all will get through. love you, teri
I remember last year, before the university turned on our AC, we were sweltering. Eva wasn't sleeping, it was hot, and I was still semi-nursing. Ugh. We went to local pool to cool off with some friends, and as soon as Eva's swim suit was wet and she was in the shade, she was totally out and had the longest nap in 3 days. So, moral of the story: ENJOY THAT POOL.
