Day 10- Game time.

Lots to share here today. . .

First- from yesterday- Addison experiencing some paint. She seemed interested in painting. She did allow me to pain her hands and then use them as a stamp to make her handprints. It actually turned out pretty well. Although she did attempt to eat it, good thing I used kid friendly non toxic, washable paint. :)

This is a project that Hannah and I worked on yesterday and today. Working on creating some magnets. One of my fave and easy crafts for the Holidays.

Hannah and Addy painting! I love it.
I look forward to framing mine and putting it up on the wall. I love handprints, I love having something of the girls hanging on the wall.

Now on to Jackie adventures!

We found Jackie on the dining room table playing "Cat in the Hat, I can do that" game with the reindeer. Jackie did not bring anything with her, but that's okay, we used this as a hint to break out some games and play today.

Dealt cards "With the cake on your head."

"Slide under the trick a mick stick, wiht the rake, under your right arm"
Oops, looks like Jackie doesn't know her right from her left. Or perhaps it was really late when she was playing!

"Skip around the trick-a-ma-stick with mother's new gown, under your chin"
On a side note this is one of my first reindeers, I have had this since at least teenage years.

"Crawl around the trick-a-ma-stick with the ball, on your belly."

"Walk backwards around the trick-a-ma-stick, with the toy man, between your legs!"

Here's the whole group playing.

So we took Jackies cue and we spent the morning playing some games. We waited until Addison took her morning nap so that we could play on the floor and not have to worry about her getting into peices. First on the list was Candyland.

Hannah won- :)

Next up, Hi ho Cheerio. I love that Hannah enjoys spending time playing games. She is able to sit and pay attention when we play games. I sometimes forget how much fun it can be to sit and play games as a family. We have a full cupboard of just games. Jason and I in the past have been huge board game fans, Monopoly, Scrabble, Sequence, Life etc. We have a pretty good collection of kid games too, which is awesome!

Then, Uno Moo- this ones still a bit hard for Hannah to play, but we are figuring it out.

Then Addy woke up, so we moved on to other playing.

Including blocks. Addison was so funny, she was picking them up and moving them to the couch, and to the table.

Block time.

Jason decided that he wanted to go get our tree before he went to work. This sounded like a good idea. Although I will admit it was not well planned and it did not go as well as it could have. Jason and Hannah picked out a tree, we got seperated and Addison and I were not a part of the picking or cutting of the tree, so there are no photos of that part because of that.

This is the first time we have gotten a live tree since 2006 I believe is when we purchased our fake tree. I agreed that we could get a live tree this year since Hannah had never had a real one, and actually all the homes where we usually spend Christmas have fake trees as well. So this was a treat for the girls this year. I don't know if we will officially return to having a real tree every year, but this year this was our plan.

Look Mommy its a tree.

On the hunt for a tree.

She was so excited to find such a large bushy tree.

Addison and I out on the hunt, well not really we were standing in one place, we got seperated from the other 2, so we just hung out until they came back. What we didn't know was that they found a tree and were cutting it.

Photos of the tree will come next. We won't decorate it until Tuesday night, as we will wait until we are all home and available to participate in the decorating of the tree. As well I will unveil our 2012 ornament. Jason and I have been collecting ornaments since 2004 when we first spent a Christmas together.

Love, J.
