Return to work.

I returned to work on Thursday for the weekly staff meeting. Was glad to see some of my co-workers. Both of the supervisors were out. Friday I returned for a half day. Wow- I had nearly 600 emails waiting to be deleted or saved to be reviewed later. I had the task of attempting to get my calendar to look the way I wanted it to. Trying to schedule in time to walk out of the office and pump. And after leaving work realized that I forgot to include a few things in my calendar, so Monday morning I'll be back at it.

I will begin to see clients starting Tuesday. I'm ready to be back working. It wasn't hard to be away from my kiddos for 5 hours. I enjoyed coming home yesterday and hanging with them. Though I will admit the sleeping patterns lately of Addison and I, will make for trying times at work. I was so exhausted yesterday! I've been chasing sleep for weeks now- I'm looking forward to times when I can get more sleep. For now weekends and naps will be the best things in the world!

I'm nervous more about how will things get done around the house and how will we maintain things- and less worried about my children. We have a great sitter- Jeneca, that I trust with our kids. She has made the transition back to work easier.

Overall I'm feeling well. My 6 week postpartum dr's appointment went well. Theres a few concerns related to my blood work. I'm pre-diabetic- so that means continuing to monitor every 6 months or so, and that means my family is working on getting healthier! As well seems I'm immune to the rubella vaccine, so don't really know what that means. And my thyroid seems to be overactive and I'll be meeting with a dr regarding that in the upcoming weeks. My blood pressure continues to be slightly elevated, and could just be related to some life stuff going on, and could be still elevated from the recent pregnancy. Though overall the dr said that things are looking well. I've lost 20 pounds since the pregnancy and am hovering below my pre-pregnancy weight, so that's good too!

We renewed our gym membership this week. Thankfully the indoor track at the gym allows strollers, so I can drop Hannah off at Child Watch, and Addison and I can go strolling :) I'm hoping to do that today actually. We have also resumed our weekly family swim. We went twice already this week. Addison doesn't seem to mind, though does get a bit cold. Hannah got a pair of swim goggles this week and was enjoying them so much last night! Hannah is truly a water child. I am hoping that this year will allow us to be able to get her enrolled in swim lessons. Though she has learned quite a bit just by playing in the water so much and I'm so proud of her abilities that she has naturally.

Well the family is still asleep. . . I've finished feeding and pumping. . . and Addison is finally asleep too so I will try to get some more sleep myself.

Jessy

i can only imagine how hard it must be to have the two little ones, working full time, worried about 'getting things done' and knowing that you need to focus on you so that you are healthy for your family..i also know that if anyone can do it, it's you...you will figure it out..just keep in mind, the house doesn't always have to be spotless, the laundry doesn't always have to be done, (unless everyone is out of unders) as long as everyone is healthy, then everyone will be happy...
