Before Hannah, I would spend hours making a variety of cookies around this time of the year. The last 2 years I have not really wanted to. I just have not found the time or the desire. This year, with my family coming for Christmas (tomorrow), I was on the potluck list to do a desert. Nothing else sounded fun to make, so I decided I would just make some cookies.
But not just any cookies. I would make some fun cookies. See below to find out what I decided to make and how.
To make this a bit simpler I cheated!
I had 2 of these bags hiding in my pantry from a time when I got the bags for cheapo (nearly free!).

On the back there are instructions for how to make them, and if you want to make cutout cookies, which I did want to, what to add/substract. So I followed the easy instructions.

I prepped my station, for the decorating process. I've got sprinkles and crushed peppermint candy cane in the bowls and waxed paper on the counters.
I melted some chocolate chips (it wasn't working as well as I would like in the pan, so I switched to my metal bowl).

The candy cane cookies with chocolate and peppermint chips were delicious and very festive to look at - great job Jess.
