Labor Day.

Labor day weekend. A weekend were we enjoy the final days of summer. The final camping trip before the fall and winter nasty weather of Oregon and Washington hits. This year, fall hit early- or maybe just for a few days. The weekend was filled with rain and wind.

This year Jason went camping Wed and Thursday, Hannah stayed overnight with Gma and Gpa Thursday night, and I went up on Friday and stayed til Sunday. Because the weather wasn't the greatest we ventured to NW Trek to see some animals.

I was not well prepared, I didn't take snacks or juice, or change Hannah prior to the tram ride, so about 1/2 way in she had a meltdown and soaked through her diaper onto my lap. I changed her as quickly as I could and w/out juice or snack was able ot wrap her in my sweatshirt and rock her to sleep fairly quickly! Afterwards she slept in the stroller!
We did see a fair amount of large animals, though most of those pictures are on mom's camera. I did get a shot of this owl that was hanging out on one of the trails with the trainer. Pretty cool.

At the education center, Hannah got to touch some real antlers and pelts, which was pretty cool.

Saturday morning, Hannah outslept all of us. She had slept in the bed with me, and at 5 woke up, was changed and given juice, she fell back to sleep. I got up at 7:30, she didn't wake up til 9, when nearly everyone else was up. I was actually able to get a shower in before she woke!

Gma, Aunt Michelle, Hannah and WILLY! She was wondering around all weekend calling "Willy, Willy" "Good Dog". She is learning to be good withthe dogs and not hurt them- though they are also learning to run the other way so they don't get loved to death!

Wondering around camp with Gma, she found the reflection on Gpa's truck, just as I snapped this she was putting her mouth on the running board- and then proceeded to go over to my car and lick it. I am not sure what is wrong with this child.

Hannah sitting in her big girl camping chair! What a cutie she is!

Sometimes you have to desguise baths as FUN TIME. I stripped her, and let her play in the warm water outside for a bit and then quickly soaped her up and rinsed her down. She was filthy, but also was needing a time out from other activities, this worked well.

Great Gma and Great Gpa came up for a few hours. Here is Great Gpa playing Boccee Ball in the yard.

When I arrived at the property, Hannah was about ready for her nap. She had struggled to go to sleep and then be put down to sleep for everyone else. But I was able to get her to sleep quickly and then put her into her crib for some nap time. What you can't tell about this photo is that the pack n play is under the tarp awning of the tent- so she's sleeping outside!
Overall a good weekend. It was mostly quiet, and restful. Though chasing a nearly 1 1/2 year old takes a lot of work and I'm glad that there were others there to tag team with me, as I would have been exhausted a lot faster if it had been just me!
