Okay for my family that worries more than it should. . . I will say this very clearly-
ADDISON and I are just fine.
I have a great OBGYN Dr that I talk to about every 3-4 days. She is very caring and understanding and willing to work with me and my goals! She makes changes to the necessary medications gradually and has ADDISON's best health in mind.
My medical stuff is not affecting me other than being an inconvience of added medications and Dr appointments and contact. My blood pressure has actually been normal lately- go figure. I have lost weight, Dr is not concerned though as ADDISON has gained weight and size just as she should.
I'm no longer sick daily- only about once every 4 weeks am I getting sick now! YIPPY! That's the best change ever.
The gestational diabetes is being monitored closely, it's not negatively affecting Addison at this time. For me it means eating very healthy. I met with a dietician about 6 weeks ago, and follow a pretty strict diet and have a few medications I'm taking to help keep this in control. Ask Jason how many times I've turned down chocolate and other carb loaded products that I would normally chow down on! I miss my bread and pasta- but will survive. I'm learning to like peanuts, and enjoy some other snacks that are healthier, and watching serving sizes!
So there is no need to worry- the Dr's and nurses I work with are FABULOUS- I'm so glad I changed dr's early on. This DR is AMAZING!
Jason and I toured the hospital last week. We will be giving birth at Peace Health Southwest. We loved what we saw and I have a friend that works there as a delivery nurse. We can have visitors AFTER the birth. But ask that if anyone is feeling ill or has been sick in the previous couple of days to wait to come visit us. We will gladly make time once we are home as well for visitors. Provided everything is textbook we would only be at the hospital the most 2 days after Addison's birth.
