We have a new addition to our family. We decided a few weeks ago that we would like to have a sitter come to our place for a few hours on the days when we both work, and then the sitter would take Hannah to Nana's house and mommy would pick her up from there.
We had 4 interviews scheduled for one week, 2 of them no showed, and then the 3rd one showed up and she knew Jason. In fact Jason was hired to fill the job that her husband had left, because he was deployed to Iraq. So he had met her at the shop. And several of the other guys use her as a sitter on occassion.
We liked her right off the bat. Her name is Stefanie. She has had a lot of childcare experience and seems to be great with children. Hannah took no time in warming up to her and playing with her. Last night was our first time having her sit Hannah alone- Jason had a work meeting, and I was still at work. Tonight we are having a date night, and Stefanie is coming to our place for a few hours and will get to do the bed time routine.
Then on Monday she will start her regular days with us. She will be doing the mornings, so I don't have to get Hannah up, I can leave her in her pj's- I don't have to rush to get everything together and get to Nana's so I can be to work on time. Stefanie and Hannah will play for a few hours (5 to be exact) and then Stefanie will take Hannah over to Nana's house around Noon. On my late days its more like 3:30 :).
We are very excited to bring Stefanie into our family as a child care provider. She seems like a sweet gal and Hannah already enjoys her! I am hoping that this will be a great relationship.
I'll try to convince Stefanie of letting us get her photo so I can post one to introduce you to her!

Tell Stephanie how precious we all think that little girl is so she better measure up :) All kidding aside, I'm so glad you found someone you feel comfortable with. It isn't easy to leave your child with someone who is not family but hopefully Stephanie will become like family. Have a wonderful date night!!!
aww that made me tear up! =] I love you guys! And hannah is such a sweetie. I love love love her hugs! Hope she feels better I dont like when little ones are sick, i always feel horrible. I noticed you didnt ask right off the bat for my picture to put on here haha. But...dont be afraid to post them, or take pics. I dont mind at all. (normally i hate my picture taken but when its all in fun and i dont notice what do i know? ;)
