Catching up.

Good afternoon. I have been slacking a bit, I know I need to post some new photos of our baby bug... but I just have been swamped and life will not be getting any easier any time soon. How about a quick bullet point update, the good, the bad and the ugly. Some things running through my head, sorry it's disorganized.
  • Hannah can stand up on her own now
  • She prefers walking, and does walk most of the day now
  • She prefers daddy
  • She screams at me
  • Jason applied to go back to school at PCC (Portland Community College)
  • We found a new apartment and will be moving at the end of May
  • Work is presenting UGLY challenges related to client's and suicide attempts. And NO, it's not my fault, it never is. I just happen to be that client's counselor and trying to get more help for them.
  • Jason continues to look for work
  • Hannah enjoys her hiking pack, we wore it to the Wine and Seafood festival last weekend, that was a blast!
  • Chucke Cheese will never see me again! That place was insane!
  • Hannah's two teeth are beautiful
  • Hannah's drooling is not beautiful, but I still love it.
  • I miss my Hannah during work hours, and can't wait to get back to work when she's screaming, kicking etc.
  • Hannah is my daughter, and shares her mommies moodswings and tantrums daily! *I'm sorry Jason*
  • I wore Hannah in my mobi wrap last night for a late night after midnight when she wouldn't sleep... I miss having her in a sling and that close to me all the time. It was a great snuggle time even if she didn't go to sleep- I got quite snuggles on a walk.
  • Our next apartment has a year round pool, that is heated 9 months of the year. I can't wait to go swimming throughout the week with Hannah! She loves the water, and so do I. Wanna go swimming, come visit us this summer, we'd love the company and the fun!
  • Want a bath without the hassle- hold Hannah in your lap in the hot tub or pool, she will splash you enough to rinse you off, just ask my dad!
  • Want a good nights sleep, watch Hannah for a few hours as she walks and crawls and climbs around, then return her.
  • Want a good couple of nights sleep, watch Hannah overnight so her parents can sleep, return her after about 24 hours, you'll sleep fabulously the next nights.
  • Who came up with sleep like a baby? I almost said that in my previous thought... my baby doesn't sleep good. She will for a few hours, then wake up and stir, need a bottle, a binky, a snuggle, play time etc.

Alrighty... I'll try to get photos up soon. But this week is busy. Sorry all.

Unfortunately some kids don't sleep real well for a couple years. I think Joe kept Roxanne up for 2 years before she got a full nights sleep. I'm glad we can give you a break now and again but I'm also glad she is who she is. Tantrums will come and go - maybe the terrible 2's are starting early!

Oh Jess...I feel you on the bittersweetness of being a mom. I am constantly amazed at the women who are, of all things, energized all the time. How do they do that? Do their children do everything they are supposed to? Sleep will come soon too, though I'm sure it doesn't feel like it. You and your family are in my prayers!
